KURRAWA LEGENDS THRILL SEEKER
Kurrawa Legends Thrill Seeker has added another dimension to our Shamarra breeding programme. This upstanding male is co-owned with three other alpaca studs and is not available for outside matings, however we do offer females pregnant to Thrill Seeker from time to time.
The combination of Thrill Seeker’s genetics with our Patagonia Celtic Rising Sun ET daughters, as well as daughters from Softfoot Casstalas and our other males, is resulting in progeny with enhanced density and uniformity of micron.
Thrill Seeker is a well grown and correctly conformed male and importantly for our breeding programme, he is throwing colour when mated to select females. This male carries a fleece uniform in micron, a highly desirable trait for commercial fleece production.
The first year’s drop of 3 progeny from Thrill Seeker resulted in excellent show results in 2021. Shamarra Galactica (out of Shamarra Venus ET) won three Supreme Championship titles back to back and Shamarra Aloha also won championship titles.

”What a sweet discovery this was on our way to Akaroa. Our host couldn’t have been more gracious and whilst we didn’t want to do a tour we did want to support the local vendors. Our host talked us through all merchandise and was so knowledgeable to the point where we spent way more than intended because it was all so beautiful and we are delighted with our purchases. Added to that we got the chance to visit the alpacas and they were so much fun! And we can’t resist thus but Al Packer told us never to get him or his mates up with Banana Llama

“We loved getting up close to the alpacas, they are so cute and fluffy, and they were happy to be patted! The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, she knew all of the alpacas names and was happy to take photos for us. The farm is in a beautiful location with stunning views of the Akaroa Harbour. Tea, coffee, juice and homemade biscuits at the end of the tour was also a very nice touch. This is a must do if you are going to Akaroa!”
